Wine Australia is a Commonwealth Government statutory authority empowering the success of the Australian grape and wine sector by providing market development, regulatory services and research and innovation to grape growers and wine makers. Wine Australia has its headquarters in South Australia with a satellite office in London and other staff dispersed in Asia and North America.

The Opportunity

Wine Australia’s staff sought to provide secure, fast and reliable access to data and workloads for their staff located across a range of global locations.

Iocane’s Approach

Wine Australia engaged Iocane to provide oversight and technical expertise to rationalise their IT infrastructure and networking environment. Iocane were able to vastly improve the reliability and end user experience by redesigning key elements of the network and migrating selected workloads into the cloud.

Wine Australia were also seeking a local presence from a technology partner to provide a consistent presence on site to engage with management, become intimate with the technology landscape, assist in forward planning and provide troubleshooting and resolution to end users. Iocane continues to provide onsite engineering support to collaborate with their team and provide support when it’s most needed. Iocane engineers have become part of the Wine Australia team, and a highly successful partnership continues to remain.
